[rediger] Synopsis

Every night, in an old, secret cabarét theatre, the beautiful Diva sings before an astonished audience. But she is only a mask; a puppet — and perhaps this is the source of the strange longing and sadness of her song.

Meanwhile, behind the curtains, the theatrical puppeteer Sofie Krog prepares for her one-woman performance at the IVth International Festival of Solo Puppeteers, in Lodz, Poland. The film follows Sofie's journey to the festival, along with her assistent Astrid, and gets close to the inner workings of her creative art — how to bring life, spirit — and body — to the puppets of her performance Diva.
